Dr. Phyllis Kawada, DDS, MS
Dr. Phyllis Kawada is a licensed specialist in pediatric dentistry. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Originally from Hacienda Heights, she resides locally with husband Mark and son Matthew and daughter Camille. Dr. Kawada is a proud alumae of USC where she received a B.S. in Biological Science and continued on to complete her D.D.S. at the USC School of Dentistry. Dr. Kawada trained at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, completing a 3-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry. She also received a M.S. for research in Oral Biology for studying oral effects on liver and kidney transplant patients. Dr. Kawada also holds a faculty position at USC as an Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and is on the medical staff at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. Dr. Kawada also serves on the Executive Board for the Friends of the Children’s Museum at La Habra. Outside of the office, Dr. Kawada is also a talented musician, and loves to follow USC Football. Dr. Rosemary Tran, DDS, MS
Dr. Rosie is a Southern Cal ex-pat recently moving back from Michigan. She earned her BA in Economics at UCLA and received her DDS degree from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan Mott Children's Heath Center and Master's degree at the UM Rackham Graduate School. Dr. Rosie is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and also specializes in dental treatment under general anesthesia. She is available for new patients. Dr. Rosie will be returning from maternity leave on May 1st.
Dr. Jennifer Ramirez, DDS
Dr. Ramirez is joining our team after working locally in the community of Chino Hills for the past 6 years. She brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for pediatric dentistry to our Chino Hills office. She attended dental school at New York University and completed her pediatric residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Massachusetts. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and is available for new patients. Dr. Ramirez also specializes in oral conscious sedation. Dr. Ramirez is available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the Chino Hills office.
Dr. Susan Xu, DDS
Dr. Susan Xu comes to us from Southern California. She obtained her DDS from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University. Dr. Xu lives locally in Yorba Linda. Dr. Xu is available in the La Habra office on Mondays and Fridays. She specializes in treatment under oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Bambi Mpiana, DDS
Dr. Bambi is a pediatric dentist who has been helping to fill in during maternity leave for all the doctors. We greatly appreciate her help! Currently, Dr. Bambi is available on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday in the La Habra office. Dr. Bambi attended college in Massachusetts at the College of the Holy Cross and continued on to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio for dental school. She completed her Pediatric Residency at University Hospital/Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital also in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Bambi currently resides in the Inland Empire and is a Mom to three great kids! Dr. Bambi loves to meet new families and to provide a welcoming and educational environment for each new smile. Dr. Bambi is fluent in French, Swahili, and wants to learn even more languages.
Dr. Irene Hwang, DDS
We're so excited to welcome the newest member to our doctor team, Dr. Irene! While Dr. Irene comes from Seattle, Washington, she completed her dental degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and then completed her pediatric dentistry training at Children's Hospital Colorado. Dr. Irene's cheerful smile and calm demeanor compliments her specialized skills in managing medically complex patients as well as treatment under general anesthesia. She's currently accepting new patients in both the La Habra and Chino Hills offices. Dr. Irene is fluent in Mandarin and is very excited to become an integral part of our community. When she's free, Dr. Irene enjoys hiking local trails, skiing on different mountains, and spending time with her husband and family cat!
